Ability to Work 2 Night Audit Shifts (11pm – 7am)
Ability to Work 3 (or 4) Afternoon Shifts (3pm – 11pm)

The Ideal Candidate for this Position:

Flexible full-time schedule and take on any available or last minute on-call shifts (we prefer Candidates who are not in school)
Ready to work Morning Shift (7am – 3pm)
Ready to work Night Audit Shift (11pm – 7am)
Ready to work Afternoon Shifts (3pm – 11pm)
Ready to be On-Call for emergencies
Ready to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
Speak and Write fluent English and Spanish
Smiles often and has a very welcoming friendly attitude
Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel Spreadsheets)
Enjoy Creating and Writing Word Documents and Excel Spreadsheets
Previous Experience 1-3 years Hotel Front Desk Agent, or Customer Service at a small store (where extensive computer and order processing training was provided)
Experience with any kind of 2-way reservation system (or computerized retail payment system – POS)
Experience in cash handling and credit cards
Enjoy working directly with Customers and ensuring they are satisfied and happy
Experience in selling rooms in-person & phone (or selling other products/services)
Strong work ethic and self-motivated
Personal accountability
Ready to follow through on work schedule and project commitments
Experience handling challenging customer situations with grace and diplomacy while ensuring customers feel valued and appreciated
Enjoy writing detailed notes when learning something new
Enjoy writing detailed notes and messages as dictated by Management and Supervisors
Enjoy learning something new everyday and improving yourself
Enjoy double-checking and proofreading completed tasks, documents, spreadsheets, reservations, calculations
Have an upbeat positive attitude
Experience creating solutions to situations immediately as they occur
Ability to perform basic math calculations (counting money, balancing register)
Ability to use calculator and calculate discounts and percentages
Ability to smile frequently when communicating with Guests
Ability to stay calm and appear confident during challenging situations
What you will be doing:

Warmly welcome, check in and out, and communicate with all guests
Operate the Front Desk of the Hotel according to company policies, procedures, and Best Western Brand standards
Sell and book reservations for guests in person and over the phone
Ensure guests’ requests are met and that they feel welcome
Set up breakfast room during night audit shift
Stay Busy by creating and completing specific Admin Tasks directed by the management or marketing team (using MS Word or Excel) when time allows between serving Guests
Ensure that the Front Desk and Office are kept clean and organized
Monitor and ensure that our Hotel’s rates are competitive.
Ensure payments are collected (including credit card and direct bill) and are executed in accordance with company policies.
Ensure that any issues are handled timely and effectively.
Maintain your presence at Front Desk during all hours of your shift.
Communicate effectively with individuals inside and outside the facility.
Ensure that all required documentation (daily reports, checklists, etc.) are completed every shift in a timely manner.
Request Daily Breakfast Inventory documents from Breakfast Staff
Request Daily Inventory Documents from Housekeeping Supervisor
Effectively Translate English and Spanish information both written and verbal
Communicate frequently with Housekeeping Staff to ensure Guest Satisfaction
There is always plenty of work for you to do while on shift, and it is expected that you fill up your time between serving Guests by completing Admin assignments given to you by Management.
Request new tasks from Management when you have completed all daily and assigned tasks.
